Accommodating up to 10 guests (adults and children) in 3 en-suite bedrooms, the house has a fully equipped kitchen and open plan living areas with a 10-seater dining table, comfortable couches and wood fireplace. Guests can also enjoy the pristine outdoor pool, lush gardens and boma braai facilities. DSTV, WiFi and an Inverter all add to the comfort of your stay.

Off grid mountain cabin with endless views

The mountain cottage is a unique, remote and romantic place to disconnect, enjoy spectacular sunsets followed by an evening of star gazing. High up in the Waterberg mountains this eco cottage operates on solar power and relies on rain water harvesting, whilst battery operated lamps are provided for light. The cottage is best reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle; alternatively arrange for us to fetch you at the gate to take you. Join us and switch off, very limited connectivity only.

Covid 19 response, all our staff are vaccinated and the Tent is completely isolated. There is no contact with any other guests.

Matopos is a rock & wood cabin in a wild syringa forest located on Grootfontein Private Nature Reserve. Guests can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub while enjoying mountain views or gather around the fire for a braai under the stars. This 2-bedroom unit boasts en-suite bathrooms, an open-plan kitchenette, a dining area, lounge area & braai facilities. OFF THE GRID Our units make use of solar power.
