Centrally located along the St. Johns River, Moonlite Retreat is 100 yards from the main channel and 500 yards from Welaka Spring. Come sip a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise over your private boathouse from the comfort of your private screen porch. Then leave from your boathouse and explore the St Johns River.

Enjoy stunning lake views while sipping your morning coffee on the back deck. Lots of paddling options exist here on spring-fed Sand Lake. This location is in a hidden area of Florida between the St. Johns River and Crescent Lake. 1 hour from St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, or Ocala Nat’l Forest, and 2 hrs from the Disney Parks.

Although the newly renovated house is fully equipped for your stay- including a full kitchen and spacious living room- the real luxury is outside. Enjoy relaxing on the large, lakeside, fully screened-in porch while firing up the grill. Spend the day swimming, fishing, and kayaking on this serene lake. Make use of our private dock! At night, gather 'round the firepit while roasting marshmallows and stargazing.

Sportsman's Bluff

Nestled atop a serene bluff, the house offers a fantastic retreat for guests. In addition, there is a private floating dock where you can tie up to a 28 ft boat after a beautiful day fishing or enjoying the water. Please note, access to the dock requires walking up and down approximately 36 stairs (see photo of bluff). Whether you’re exploring the nearby attractions or simply relaxing on the bluff, we’re happy to assist you with any questions before or during your stay a Sportsman’s Bluff.

Bring your boat and head over to Sliver Glen or Salt Springs, take a hike in Welaka State Forest, or cast a line from the dock. We even have a few kayaks at the property for guest use. So come grill steaks on our large screened in porch, watch the beautiful sunsets, and then roast smores on one of the fire pits. This Large 3/3 with a covered boat lift on 3 acres is perfect for the whole family!
