The Gatehouse Treehouse in Pukerua Bay

Unwind in this modern treehouse with all the comforts of home. Surrounded by trees, you can often see tui and piwakawaka by day and hear ruru at night. Just off the main road through Pukerua Bay and close to the beach and Escarpment Track, this tiny home is easy to find. With a full kitchen and a barbecue in the private courtyard, eating in is a breeze. Picnic on the beach with takeaways from our local food truck, or eat out in one of the neighbouring villages. Relax and enjoy our friendly Bay.

Between 16 to 31 March there is scaffolding being put up at the entrance and alongside the neighbouring property. A comfortable, 3 level studio complete with harbour views from your private deck, if you’re in Wellington for work or a city break. A separate bedroom with queen bed, a large bathroom, sunny kitchenette, dedicated work space with 24 inch screen, and a cosy nook with couch and TV. An easy walk along the waterfront to the CBD (15-20 mins) as well as Wellington’s many restaurants.

A shared shower and toilet is a short walk away down the path. The sleeping space in the hut is a double bed in the loft which may not be ideal for TALL people!
