A very calming place to be. Tuis, bellbirds, fantails, wax eyes, wekas, hawks and seabirds all around. Walking, cycling, kayaking and horse riding are all possible. Punakaiki (Pancake Rocks), Paparoa National Park, Caving, Denniston plateau, Constant Bay, Truman Track, and Seal Colony are all close.

All beds are fitted with electric blankets, electric heating in the rooms and a heat pump. There is a private courtyard with a BBQ grill.
