Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

With everything you need provided to make yourselves breakfast. It's a 15min walk (3 minutes by car) to the centre of Feilding where the farmers markets are held on Fridays. 7-minute drive to Manfeild Park 16-minute drive from Palmerston North airport. There is additional parking if required (please advise if needed)

Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro

Kosbys Cottage, Tongariro provides excellent value for money, offering ample space for families (children over 2 years old) or small groups of friends. A snug retreat during winter, thanks to a very efficient wood-burner (there is no heat pump). The spacious couch is perfect for unwinding, while the well-equipped kitchen, resembling that of a caterer’s, includes an espresso machine and opens out onto a charming patio area with a barbecue, herb garden, and stunning vistas.

Please note this is an unserviced holiday home. You will Need to supply your own linen and towels etc. Our wonderful bach full of character, is an old mill house which belonged to the local timber mill from the 1940-50s. It then spent several years as the Tauranga ski club, before being lovingly restored into a groovy bach full of rustic charm. It's the perfect place to getaway and relax, or to use as a base after your high octane adventures around the Central Plateau.

The Red Barn provides a rural retreat, a quick 7-minute drive to vibrant Whanganui city. Local café and brewery down the road and close to the Windermere Berry Farm. A self-contained cottage set privately in the grounds of our property offering options for whatever break away you are looking for. Wairere Cottage is the perfect place to stay before or after biking the Timber Trail. Situated 2 ks down a private driveway off SH4. Wairere Cottage sits peacefully on our working sheep & beef farm. 5 mins to Ongarue village, 40 mins drive to TeKuiti, 20 mins to Taumarunui. Makes it an ideal base to go off mountain biking(Timber trail), walking, railcarts, jetboating, golfing all in Taumarunui. With Skiing at Mt Ruapehu. Stunning night sky ( Weather permitting)
