Barn Stay at Shadowbrook Farm

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. If you follow the farm road, you are able to meet every farm animal on the property!

Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the town center, Williams College and The Clark Art Institute. The house was fully renovated in 2021. All new everything including appliances, a luxurious tile shower, fresh sheets and towels and lovely furnishings, all to make your stay comfortable and cozy. The living room has a beautiful gas fireplace and smart tv and in the summer, central air.

Built in 1865, the original structure of the house served as the gate house to the Colgate Estate, one of the most beautiful properties in Southwestern Vermont. Our home is just a few short miles to downtown where you can find local restaurants and breweries. We are not far from some of the best skiing/riding in the Northeast at Mt Snow, Bromley, Stratton and Prospect Mountains.
