Getting here is part of the adventure! The farm is only 5km off the R62 but this is a gravel mountain pass that requires the right vehicle. Cloud Cottage is located on Voogsekraal estate. The estate stretches along the mountainous and truly breathtaking Prince Alfred Pass. The estate forms part of the Outeniqua Mountains. This means exquisite views, waterfalls and walks.  The cottage is nestled into the hillside, amidst rockery and fynbos. With no neighbouring farms, cell reception, nor electricity, one is able to experience a true getaway.

An authentic adult tree house built into the bows of a growing rooi karee adult tree (rhuslancea). The dwelling is made of a variety of SA wood varieties and shaped around the stem and branches, allowing humans to live functionally within its arms

Suikerbossie Mountain Cabin

Soak up the peace and quietness while enjoying the true beauty that nature has to offer. The cabin was completed just before the lockdown. The building of the cabin was started by my husband and completed only 2 years later in remembrance of him.
