The minimal cabin is tucked in the trees and set up for families and friends, pet & kid-friendly. 10-15 Minutes to Mount Snow 10-15 Minutes to Downtown Wilmington This is a country house, not a boutique hotel :) If booking during winter or spring months, we HIGHLY recommend a 4wd vehicle as the weather can cause some tough road conditions (snow/mud).

The Shiny Elk Chalet is your bright and sunny mountain home located in the Southern VT near the Green Mountain National Forest just 7 miles from Mount Snow Ski Resort, and 13 miles from Stratton Mountain. Rest and relax on a small private cul-de-sac. Huge windows and filled with natural light in the afternoon. Summer: enjoy the firepit and make some s'mores! Grill on our propane grill and enjoy the beautiful stone patio and patio furniture. Explore the local towns, waterfalls, and the VT.

Whether it's for fall foliage, winter activities, spring festivals, or a summer at the lake, we are happy to host you anytime during the year to experience your ideal Vermont getaway! Dogs welcome with a $100 pet fee per pet (two dog max). No cats

We provide potable water from our well. Outdoor shower with on-demand hot water. Simple outhouse with sawdust composting system is clean and convenient.
