The Stable: a peace-filled, creative retreat

Welcome to The Stable - a serene solo respite, artist’s retreat or unique getaway for 1 to 6 registered guests. Close to I-85 & I-40, Duke, NCCU and the downtown Durham scene. Quaint & artsy Hillsborough, funky & fun Chapel Hill/UNC and Carrboro are a short drive. Eno River State Park, hiking & biking trails, and the Mountains to Sea Trail are 2.5 miles away. Full of unexpected details, including an outside labyrinth, The Stable is a comfortable sanctuary for all who want to settle in and smile.

Artist's Studio

Until recently the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

Historic Warrenton Loft Villa

NO SMOKING. Relax in a newly built guest house, located on the privacy of the main house hidden from public. Drive up the driveway where the cabin is tucked away from site in the backyard. Enjoy a spacious fenced backyard where you can let your fur babies run free. New pergola with comfy seating for nighttime relaxation. The house offers a living room, kitchenette, spacious bathrooms. The second floor is a large loft bedroom with a dividing wall separating the two sleeping areas.

The Scout House

Located close to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill, The Scout House has all of the rustic charm of a country retreat plus the convenient, urban amenities of The Triangle. The beds (one king and one queen), are brand new and super comfy. The views include a historic barn, ivy covered stables, green pastures, and woods. There is a lightly wooded trail to a serene private pond. The Scout House is a charming and wonderful place to stay for any and all occasions!

Ray Family Farm Stay

Waterfront right on a beautiful pond! We raise Belted Galloway cattle. Our Farm Stay was built from local reclaimed tobacco barns. We have miles of walking trails, ponds to fish, abundant wildlife, lots of peace and quiet, and beautiful scenery in all directions. We have large grocery store , several local restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner only 3 miles away. Please consider staying with us! No dogs please.
