Burr Oak House

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay in the center of Bluff Country! Located 11 miles north of Decorah, less than 22 miles to the Lanesboro area and less than 7 miles to most the Upper Iowa River port ins near Bluffton, IA. Burr Oak is home to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum, the only childhood home that remains on its original site. Come spend a few days relaxing in this quaint, relaxed community and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area.

Cowboy Cabin

Secluded and peaceful cabin on top of quarry cliff, just a few minutes from town. The cabin will comfortably sleep four, with two mattresses in the loft and a futon in the living area. There is no electricity to the cabin but there is a nice power block with up to 14 hours of use per charge. 10 gal. of water is provided, also a camp-bag shower. An outhouse is on site. Wood: first bundle free, 8$ for additional large bundles Stock tank cool plunge pool: lightly chlorinated.

A quiet, serene escape in a beautiful valley perfect for relaxing, reuniting with family, and renewing your spirit. This walkout level has three bedrooms (accommodates 6 people), three bathrooms with double sinks, as well as a common area. Guests have their own parking, entrance, and patio. All bedrooms overlook a pond, creek and flowerbeds. There is a small beach and dock on the large pond, where guests can fish or kayak.

Tucked among the trees but with the convenience of located 5 minutes from town, 200 yards from the Upper Iowa River, with plenty of outdoor activities such as biking and hiking close by. The cabin has a large screened in front porch, patio and fire pit area, that provide plenty of spaces to relax.
