It's a space designed to inspire, and to revitalize your mind, body and spirit - A place where you can chop wood, take a walk, light a fire, sit and relax under the stars, or enjoy a hot tub, cold plunge, or Finnish-style handmade sauna - We welcome you to The Little Black Cabin.

Located Conveniently in the Pocono's, just 1 hour 30 minutes from Manhattan and under 2 hours from Philly! Our relaxing A-Frame Chalet is inspired by European design/ architecture and gives you the feel of a Nordic Home in the Poconos. Enjoy 4 large decks where you can hear the birds chirping and watch humming birds, butterflies, deer, and other wildlife in a "jungle like" back yard. Designed for couples, this home pairs vintage charm with modern indulgence--private hot tub beneath the stars, crackling wood-burning fireplace, fire lit evenings by the shore, and quiet mornings drifting by canoe. Secluded yet moments from adventure: hiking, dining, skiing, Jim Thorpe, and Pocono Raceway--where romance lingers and time slows.

Come and enjoy your stay at the Historic Lakewood Park. We have ten cabins open year-round for rental at the property. Each offers an enjoyable experience on our 63-acre and 10-acre lake. Amenities include single-room cabins with fireplace, kitchenette, queen bed, couch (folds to a bed), private bathroom with 5' tiled shower, wifi, cable TV, lake fishing, hiking, outdoor firepit, grill, and more. Linens are included with this cabin (bedding, pillows, towels, wash clothes, soaps, shampoo, etc.)

*Winter bookings must have 4 Wheel or AWD Vehicle. This one-of-a-kind cabin borders the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Hike right behind the cabin, through the woods, to Dingmans Creek. A short hike upstream leads to George W. Childs Park with 3 tumbling waterfalls, a rustic trail system, and observation decks. A longer hike downstream will bring you to Dingmans Falls. DWGNRA offers swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing, and kayaking, all within minutes of the cabin.

The cabin is 475 square feet with a living room, kitchenette, dining area and bathroom on the ground floor. The bedroom/loft is upstairs. ***The cabin is very close to the main house and shares a backyard (nothing else is shared). The backyard is yours, including propane BBQ, outdoor fireplace, tables and chairs. You can listen to music, talk and have fun outside as late as you like.

Guests can also enjoy a seasonal game room with pool table, sauna, shuffleboard, board games, and a popcorn machine.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Cozy 2 bedroom cabin that sits a few feet from the creek. The property includes 2 acres of woods on the other side of the creek. Walk across the footbridge and down a short path to a small pond. The cabin was originally a hunting cabin. Over the years it was expanded and converted into a year round residence. The cabin had a 1970’s vibe, so when we renovated it we tried to keep that feel.
