For the outdoor enthusiasts Helderberg provide trails for hiking and mtbiking and our dam covers swimming, rowing and sundowners.

La Vieille Cure

LaViellie Cure in one of the oldest house in Franschhoek, built earlier than 1850 and declared National Monument in 1981. The cottage has its own private entrance and cozy courtyard with mountain view and pergolas at the front and back patios. The inside is characterised by a spacious open studio that retains the historical features with an added touch of modernity. The Moongazing Cabin is a tranquil timber mountain cabin located on the 660ha Mount Bain Private Nature Reserve in the Bain's Kloof Valley overlooking the Waaihoek and Witzenberg Mountain Ranges. The area provides excellent choices for hiking, swimming, kloofing, birding, driving, wine tasting, seeing snow in winter or just relaxing. The cottage is equipped with gas stove, fridge and hot water and has a solar panel installation for charging electronic devices.

It is fully equipped for self catering with a 2 plate gas stove, bar fridge, crockery, cutlery, bed-linen, towels and a braai area (barbeque) with a vine-covered pergola.
