Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Possibile parcheggiare l'auto all'interno della proprietà o all'esterno davanti alla casa. A piano terra si trova il salotto con divano letto, aria condizionata, cucina e bagnetto di servizio. Al piano superiore due camere matrimoniali con aria condizionata di cui una con terrazzo , una stanza guardaroba e bagno.

The "Viareggina" was completely renovated in 2017 in a very modern and stylish way, but with high respect to the typical Liberty- Style architecture. It is like a little palazzo with more than 4m high ceilings. The pedestrian shopping streets and the central market are just a few steps away. The beach and the famous passeggiata are in 5 minutes walking distance.

E' un casale dell’800 recentemente ristrutturato rispettando le caratteristiche storiche con travi in legno e pavimenti in cotto. La villa è immersa in oliveti e vigneti e dispone di una piscina (12x6) con acqua salata, un luogo tranquillo dove trascorrere una vacanza in tranquillità.

We are just minutes from the beach (2 km) of the beautiful village of Torre del Lago just minutes from Viareggio. In a quiet area, we offer a double room with a private bathroom, kitchen, and private entrance. IMPORTANT: EVERY GUEST MUST PAY THE LOCAL TOURIST TAX: € 1.50 PER DAY (The tax only applies to the first ten days of your stay). The rooms are also disinfected with UVC lamp and ozone.
