The Hobbit House on the Isle of Skye

The Hobbit house with its round door is close to the sea, the beach and the mountains. It has views of Broadford Bay and the islands of Raasay, Scalpay and Pabay. For return visitors, unfortunately a new house on the next croft now partially obscures the view of Beinn na Cailleach although you can still see the cairn where the Norse princess is buried. The Hobbit House is NOT suitable for pets. The first thing you should do is download the map from our photo gallery. Satnav doesn't work here!

Luxury Self Contained Tiny houses can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Stunning views to Uig Bay. The house is an open plan sleeping/living area with a separate bathroom. The sofa can be pulled down to a double bed and a double sofa converts to a small single bunk bed with a further high bunk bed. Kitchen has a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Each house has a raised deck area which allows you to enjoy the unspoilt open views to Uig Bay and Fairy Glen. Parking available. No dogs

The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these cosy wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts are an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Skye Red Fox Retreat - stunning luxury glamping

The Red Fox Retreat is the ultimate luxury glamping getaway location. A twist on the more conventional ‘pod’, the cabin features a curved wood interior entered from an arched doorway in front of which is situated a perfectly appointed king sized bed with amazing views of the Trottenish Ridge and the croft (farmland) that surrounds the property. It is warm and cosy to protect against the elements and yet light and airy. The cabin is accessed via a spectacular large undercover deck area.

On a southwest facing hillside with stunning views of Loch Duich, Loch Alsh and Eilean Donan castle, nestled in a birch and hazel woodland. Within walking distance of the village of Dornie which has places to eat and drink, a local shop and of course the castle, on the road to Skye. Great if you enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Scottish Highlands.

We will be on hand just next door to give you a warm welcome and to ensure your stay with us, and whilst you explore the Skye and Lochalsh area , is both enjoyable and peaceful. Included is a microwave, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge, TV, WiFi, parking on site. We allow dogs in Walters Pod. A very convenient distance to the town centre of Portree and all amenities.
