We welcome you to Matakana Escape. This modern 2-bedroom unit is the perfect place for your escape, to relax and unwind. It features stunning rural views and is bathed in afternoon sun. The large deck is perfect for BBQ’s and the outdoor area provides lots of space for kids to play. Matakana Village and Market are a flat 1km walk away. Private stand alone unit on our lifestyle property, seperate from house. The unit is well equipped with everything you need. Linen and towels are provided.

Modern stylish home away from home in Mangawhai

We love this North facing modern home and the Village location. The stylish 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom residence is located towards the end of a cul de sac and features high ceilings, polished concrete floors and modern appliances. It’s warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Additionally, there’s a beautiful walk along three saltwater ponds, which link up to the Domain and estuary. Designed to maximise a restful stay, this property is in a fantastic location and is a residence like no other!

Ganeden Eco Retreat

Ganeden Eco Retreat is set overlooking valleys of native bush and pasture. Ganeden relies solely on solar power generation and is earth friendly. This retreat offers an experience in comfort & sustainability. You will be 5 to 15 km from some of NZ's great expansive white sandy beaches, stunning walks, cafes & outdoor pursuits. Your accommodation is half of the main house. It is completely closed off for your privacy with private access & outdoor deck. BBQ by request. Not suitable for children.

Situated on a bush fringed, sunny section, this barn-style holiday home has the basic comforts and enjoys a pleasant outlook over the surrounding bush to the sea.  The house is a brief stroll to the calm, sandy estuary beach or walk a couple of minutes further to the stunning surf beach. This tranquil retreat 7 mins from the historic village of Puhoi and 8 mins from SH1 has all you need for a relaxing, private & comfortable getaway. Easy driving distance to beaches, bush walks, kayaking & the famous Puhoi pub. Or simply relax, enjoy the birdsong, views, sunsets, a coffee or wine on the deck, star-gazing. Well set up for self-catering with induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave. Cosy wood fire in winter. Hosts live nearby and are very happy to provide any help.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
