Cosy two bed ground floor apartment on the edge of the Lake District National Park, with all the stunning scenery that you would expect. Nestling between the fells and the sea. Close to both public transport and road links. Can comfortably accommodate up to four people. Millom is a small town with a railway station, two supermarkets, restaurants, and takeaways within walking distance. You'll have the place to yourself, and the reassurance of a local owner being within 30 minutes drive if needed.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Located just off the main street of Haverigg its the perfect location to explore the beach just around the corner (2min walk) Shop, Chippy and Pub 1 minute walk away. Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. Dogs are welcome but please NO DOGS ON BEDS, Thankyou

The Black Dog Cottage - Cumbrian Countryside Stay

The Black Dog cottage is a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property located in a quiet rural setting two doors down from the Black Dog Inn, outside the town of Dalton in Furness in the Cumbrian countryside. In 2021 the cottage was renovated creating open plan living on the ground floor, a double and single bedroom on the first with family bathroom and a master suite on the second, complete with ensuite. Off road parking is available at the front of the cottage and wifi available throughout.

Haverigg is on the fringe of the Lakes, with Coniston being just a short drive away (approx 35 minutes). The property is close to Hodbarrow which is an RSPB Nature Reserve and it is also on the coast with some stunning dog friendly beaches to walk along. You can walk Black Combe and be rewarded with stunning views, or try wakeboarding, sea fishing or go horse riding on the beach.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our modern cabin is set in our ten acre small holding close to the south Cumbria beaches and southern Lake District. Relax and enjoyed our cabin, it’s deck and hot tub or sit in the orchard and watch our hens. During winter when our smallholding settles down awaiting spring it’s a great base to explore the area. You will be the only guests and have the ten peaceful acres to yourself. You may bring One dog for a small fee.
