Chic, Cottage-Style House on Balboa Island

The house was renovated with all new appliances and decor, but the chic cottage feeling reminds you that you are on the charming Island of Balboa, Many of our repeat visitors are 3 generation families. the grandparents, children and grandchildren, who love their "trundle room". The sand and bay are just steps away. Bikes, SUPs, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, games, for both inside and out. We even have a baby pool to use on the patio for little ones. Also a port a crib and high chair if needed. There is a tenant in back who will share the W/D in the garage, but the rest of the property and equipment is yours. I usually meet the guests on arrival to show them around and of course to meet them. I live just a few miles away, so am available if they havr questions, The home is situated on Balboa Island, a little-known gem. Main Street, which is just 2 blocks away, has unique shops and several restaurants. The ferry to Newport Beach is just a short walk from the house. Kayak, bike, paddle board, or simply relax on the beach. Walking or biking are the easiest ways to navigate the Island! We have a garage for your use, and Fashion Island and Newport Beach are close by. Balboa is a lovely little community and some of our neighbors live there year round, so we ask our guests to respect that the houses are close by, and to bring their visiting inside at 10 on weekdays and 11 on the weekends.

Family Beachfront Home with Rooftop Deck

Grab a kayak from the garage and spend the day exploring the coast from this homey beachfront retreat. Fire up the grill for leisurely evening dinners, or curl up in the leather and rattan armchair and sip a chilled glass of wine. This house will make you feel at home on the beach. With a full kitchen, two living rooms, and great top deck there is a space for everyone. You will have the whole house and access to all of the toys/bikes in the garage. We will have a manager on-site to help with check in and check outs. The manager's number, are on call at all times, and can be there in less than 10 min. for any issues. Located near the Newport Pier, there are hundreds of great places to eat, shop and play within walking distance. With a safe, friendly town square 40 yards away, the children can roam in a secure environment. The best way to experience Newport is by the boardwalk. Either walking or riding bikes. This house comes with 8 bikes. Plenty enough to take everyone out for a fun ride! Make sure to lock the bikes up when you go.

Enjoy quality time with family or friends at our newly remodeled 1930's ocean front family beach home. Sun bathe on the deck in the Summer, catch some waves, rinse off in our outdoor shower, stroll along the shore at sunset, and enjoy barbecuing on the patio. We have Spectrum Cable, WiFi, Bluetooth Soundbar, heat and AC in each room, 1 parking spot and free street parking. *Note: during Winter months, the city builds a sand berm front of homes. A two-minute walk to the beach! This bright one bedroom beach pad with peek-a-boo beach view is ideal for a couple but can sleep up to 4 with the use of air beds, although 4 adults will find it tight. The private deck has a gas BBQ, comfy swivel rockers, two chaise lounge chairs and a fire pit. Your shared garage has bikes, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and lots of beach toys. A signed rental agreement is required to confirm all reservations. 4 guest max including infants. NO PARTIES!

Vintage beach cottage w/ modern-day conveniences (central heat & A/C), Apple TV, DVD, vintage appliances, incl. dishwasher) on the quiet-end of Balboa Island; tree-lined street, steps to beaches on South Bayfront; 2 blocks to Balboa Island ferry and Island Market. Cottage was built in 1923 and served as a "Speak Easy" (a bar during the prohibition era ) with many famous actors, musicians, singers patronizing the site (John Wayne, James Cagney & Humphrey Bogart) just to name a few.
