It has a small paved terrace for admiring the view. It is within a mile of Pitt Hall Barn, also close to Oakley Hall, Highclere Castle and Newbury Racecourse to name but a few. My husband Andy and I own this one bedroom cottage, which has been carefully furnished and has parking and a small dedicated outdoor space.. It is an ideal base to explore the local area. Guests can visit Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), attend the races at Newbury Race Course or enjoy the walks in the surrounding area including Watership Down.

Relax and enjoy your stay at this unique and tranquil getaway. 'Adventure Prospect' has recently been completely renovated and is steeped in military history. Formerly known as the "shifting house" it was first built in 1898-1899 to accommodate munitions workers changing into the special clothing that they wore when working on magazines.
