This easy hiking trail (really, it's old logging roads with the option to get on some well beaten hiking and mountain biking trails) meanders up, over, and around Moscow Mountain. The trailhead off highway 95 doesn't offer much parking, so best get there a bit early.

This expansive park is perfect for a family outing. There are a few play structures for various age groups, a gazebo and barbecue pits. The city pool is also nearby, which accepts a donation for entrance. Palouse is a small town, so this park is often quiet... though it does host a few regional events throughout the summer.

This park is just off the highway and great for a family pitstop to let the kids stretch their legs. It has a gazebo, pond, and walking trails... great place for a picnic.

Reaney Park has a large grass playing field, gazebos, play structures, and a seasonal outdoor pool. It's also home to the National Lentil Festival, held in Pullman every August.

Sunnyside Park is home to Pullman's annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks show, as well as a few ponds and a disc golf course.

This is well off the beaten path, but a great day trip if you have the time. The state park charges a $5 entrance, has a boat launch, swimming area, camping, hiking, play structures, archery, an outdoor amphitheater... it's our favorite family spot during the summer. Pretty quiet outside holiday weekends, too.

The lunch/dinner menu features mostly BBQ. Great for families - plenty of high chairs for kiddos, plus crayons and chalk for keeping them occupied.

Excellent breakfast! The fresh squeezed orange juice is yummy, and the German potato pancakes and abelskivers are 'old country recipe' favorites. This place gets very busy on event weekends in town, so get there early.

This is a small venue with excellent food. On the same street as Moscow's farmers market (Saturday mornings in season), with parking on the west side of the building.

If you happen to be in the LC valley, I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting. Check their website for tasting hours before making the drive... and be sure to stop at any of the lookouts as you drive down the grade, to take in the gorgeous view.

This mall has a Marshalls, Bed Bath and Beyond, Old Navy, Ross, Joann Fabrics, and a few other staple establishments. Nothing fancy here, but you can generally find what you need. On rainy or cold days, we take the kids here to let them get some energy out, walking up and down the central atrium.
