Watch the light change on the Grey Corries and Annoch Mor with Ben Nevis popping up behind. Your own private patio and sitting area and everything you need in a small but well designed space for a restful stay. Good phone reception for most providers but no wi-fi or TV, just DVDs but who needs a screen when you can just sit and watch the ever changing weather sweep across the glen.

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Little Birch Cabin (STL licence number Hl-70188-F)

Little Birch Cabin is surround by fantastic scenery and wildlife. We are beside the RSPB Insh Marshes nature reserve and the beautiful Cairngorm mountains. The cabin backs onto a large forest leading into Glenfeshie the Cairngorms and beyond. Red Squirrels, Badgers, Pine martins, Crested Tits and many more are frequent visitors to the garden. Loch Insh is 3 miles away. Highland wildlife park is a superb nearby attraction. It is an ideal location for all nature lovers, walkers and cyclists.

Having travelled extensively in a previous life and taken great pleasure in meeting people from all walks, I have specifically tried to make this wee cabin as comfortable as possible with the things that matter the most when you are travelling, a fabulous shower, an ultra comfortable bed and a lovely big TV, all the rest is a bonus and aimed at making your stay as stress free as possible. Toradh ("To-rigg"), our beautifully constructed hand-built cabin is located on our working croft, 2 miles north of Spean Bridge, 11 miles north of Fort William. It is set in its own fully enclosed garden with stunning views over the Grey Corries, Ben Nevis & Aonach Mor. The cabin can sleep up to 4 guests in a kingsize bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. There is a shower room and a fully equipped kitchen within the cabin and a spacious shed with laundry facilities to the exterior.
