The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. Bridgefoot is a beautiful 17th century cottage situated in the Peak District. Guests have full use of the property including a modern, fully equipped kitchen, perfect for entertaining. There is also an exceptionally comfy and cosy sitting room, equipped with 2 sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed) a log burner and a Smart TV. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious four poster bed and an ensuite bathroom. Next door is a spacious second bedroom with two comfortable single beds.

This isn’t a place for late nights or busy schedules. It suits couples (we are for grownups only)) who enjoy simple days, a good walk, somewhere interesting to visit, and time to properly switch off. The Barn sits slightly apart, reached by a short 5 minute walk from your car, that leaves the everyday behind. It feels more tucked away, more removed. You arrive, settle in, and the pace shifts almost immediately. From there, the days unfold simply, out, back, rest, repeat.

This comfortable and well designed one bedroom, one bathroom cottage is set in an idyllic rural location with breath-taking views and direct access across the owners' fields to a footpath which leads either down to the famously picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water or uphill to the drama of Monsal Head. Separately available is The Coach House, next door, also new and sleeping 4 people in equal style.
