The Mistle is a gorgeous, quaint cottage (sleeps 4) at the far end of a historic barn. Located in the friendly village of Brockholes near Holmfirth, accessible by train, it's perfect families and friends looking for a base for a short break. It's also a great base for working. Recently renovated, you'll find it attractive, cosy and well-equipped. The cottage sits across a cobbled courtyard from our house so we're here to help. It has underfloor heating and is double glazed. There is a dedicated parking space on our drive and a deck to sit on, in good weather.

A perfect base to explore the Holme Valley.

Weaver’s Den, a cosy countryside retreat

Weaver’s Den has a combined kitchen and living area leading out to an enclosed and private dog friendly garden. You will have a king sized bed, linens, towels, a shower room, hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, WI-FI, sofa, dining table and chairs, as well as outdoor furniture. We also provide you with breakfast items such as tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs and condiments. There are also a few surprises! We also supply two dog bowls. The Den isn’t suitable for infants or children.

Ryecroft House, Large apartment near Holmfirth

Ryecroft House is a former farmhouse that dates back to the Seventeenth Century. It is situated in Ryecroft, a hamlet of half a dozen or so houses, a little less than a mile above the centre of Holmfirth. There is plenty of off-road parking and a substantial garden for guests’ use. Guests’ accommodation is the top floor of the house. Access is through the main house, so we share a staircase and hallway, but the flat itself is fully independent with a lockable entrance.

It's at the top of a steep road, but benefits from amazing, countryside views from the top (and the H3 bus runs up every hour!). Holmfirth Vineyard is close by. Cannon Hall Farm and Yorkshire Sculpture Park are about 20 minutes drive. Close to the Peak District national park 🏞️.
