Ashmount cottage by the river Dane

Period cottage in a area of outstanding natural beauty within the Peak District on the banks of the river Dane. Lovely views and walking straight from the door along the river, through the woods and up onto the Roaches, Tittersworth ( Bird Sanctuary circular walk around the reservoir, 5 miles) Ashmount is strictly for 2 guests as you are in my home albeit the space is yours for the time of your stay i live in a totally separate part of the property I am close enough should you require help

Great base for exploring this beautiful part of the White Peak, very popular with walkers and cyclists. Ideal for couples or single guests. Has a galleried double bedroom with shower and toilet. Downstairs there is an open plan sitting/diner with kitchen area. Featuring beamed ceilings. Small south facing sitting out area and off road parking.

Outside the cottage has its own dedicated car parking space with ev charger.

Roachside Cottage is situated in the beautiful Roaches Estate, a former private estate and grouse moor, now owned by the Peak District and cared for by the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The cottage comfortably sleeps 6 people, comprising of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. The views from every angle of the property are utterly breathtaking. Take a stroll across our fields to join the Manifold Way, an ideal starting point to explore the endless walking or cycling routes in the area. Or take a shallow paddle or a wild swim in the natural pool in the river Manifold, which runs alongside the stable. The Old Stable itself offers flexible, stylish and cosy accommodation to suit families or friends.
