This is my most favourite beach close to Athens simply because is only within 1 hours 15 min drive from the city and has so amazingly clear water like on an island! In addition the village has kept its unique peaceful charm. You'll probably be the only foreigner there on the beach. There are plenty of authentic restaurants at the beach. One restaurant rents a few sunbeds with umbrellas but they are often booked so better take an umbrella with you (big supermarkets sell them for 15 euros) or try to get some shade from a tree nearby.
