From school gym to an indoor minimall and many things in between, the Opera House has seen both good times and bad. It was saved and preserved in 2002 by a group of committed citizens, volunteers and donors. Just a few years later, the Opera House is an exciting and well-known destination for Maine arts and cultural activities. 2017 shows include Jim Messina, Tom Rush, April Verch, and the Bob Milne Ragtime Piano Master.

The Opera House is one of the best performance spaces ever...beautifully restored, with great acoustics and an amazing array of talented musicians and other acts . Lovely, friendly, small town feel, but big talent onstage.
