Take your Bay Area-friend here (you know, the gluten-free, dairy-free, veggie-tastic one), when they come to visit. The cuisine is healthy and creative, like spiced quinoa with pickled vegetables, or chicken with kimchi yogurt. New York can do that ultra-fresh thing, too, you know.
