Oakwood beach has parks, biking and walking trail and beach to Lake Michigan. Twenty minute scenic ride to downtown (north) or Hyde Park (south)

This beach has been reconstructed and has a beautiful design with modern amenities. By the way, summer-time beach-going in Chicago is awesome!
