Canyon adventures offer action packed activities for the whole family. Activities included are: Canyon trip with abseil: Our route features a 30m abseil/rappell, many optional cliff jumping opportunities between 1m and 13m, forest hiking and river swimming. River Adventure: This trip option features guided hiking, swimming and optional cliff jumping through the spectacular Kaaimans river gorge. It is truly one of the hidden natural wonders of the Wilderness area. Dry Canyon Abseil: This trip is available during the months of May to August, when the river water is colder. Group bookings are possible year round on request. We explore the same section of river as on our other trips, but we keep dry in the process by hiking and rock hopping. The main features of the trip are a 30m abseil and some easy grade rock climbing to get out of the gorge. Swimming and some cliff jumping is available without wetsuits for the highly adventurous! The hike to and from the river is beautiful and adventurous in itself, with the opportunity to learn more about our forest and river ecology. Just arrive in comfortable clothes for hiking and climbing with strong shoes. We provide the technical equipment such as harnesses and helmets.
