The Kampina is a beautiful nature reserve with forests, heather and many lakes. You can see many animals here, including the cattle, horses and sheep that graze in this area. A nice walk that crosses the entire area is the NS walk (18 km) from the train station in Boxtel to the train station in Oisterwijk, after which you take the train back. If you want to take a shorter walk, you can drive to the visitor center in Oisterwijk (11 km), from where various marked walks start. Here you will also find several dining options. An alternative starting point is the car park at Rhoond (10km), from where you can walk along the lakes and heather fields, which is especially recommended during the heather's blooming period (August/September).
