At the far end of the gravel road is an unlikely restaurant and bar, one of the best in this part of Cape Breton. They are open most of the year, check their facebook page for up to date hours. I usually get the scallops, but everything is good.

Casual fine dining, excellent food, a beautiful 40 min drive on a gravel road along the river between the mountains, very scenic and lovely owners too! Call for reservations and in winter, for availability.

Great local restaurant. It's a backwoods drive and a bit bumpy. However, the food is wonderful and the staff is super friendly. Its my favorite local restaurant. Beautiful scenery right on the Margaree River. 30 minute drive. Reservation only. 3719 W Big Intervale Rd, Margaree Valley, NS B0E 2C0

Well-prepared food in a rustic fishing lodge miles down a bumpy-yet-gorgeous back road. Worth the drive!
