Our recommended put-in on the Teton River for a lazy 2-4 hr paddle between South Bates Bridge and Bates Bridge take-out. If you want to keep going, you can continue past Bates Bridge to Rainey (Big Eddy) take-out. Bates to Rainey is probably the most popular stretch, which is why we like South Bates to Bates, which tends to be a little less busy and also a bit shorter in length. This is probably the most likely place you will see a moose. We've done it many times and see at least 1 moose probably 80% of the time. Give them a wide berth if they are in the water.
