Scout Mountain is one of the taller mountains located about 10 minutes to the South of Pocatello. It has many campgrounds, but is also great for day hikes. Towards the very top of the campgrounds you can park and go exploring. This was one of my favorite spots as a youth. Mountain biking is very popular as well. Lots of wildlife. My favorite time was first thing in the morning.
