The Ferry operates daily and one can traverse across the Kei to the Transkei. The Transkei roads can be very testing but its not too far to Seagulls and Trenneries Hotels - great day trip Alternatively find out about the sunset cruise that leaves from the same point on the Kei River - you can braai on the boat. Take all you need including your own music.

The ferry is very much part of the Kei Mouth culture. Either by car, on foot or even on a horse, its worth a visit.

Cross the Great Kei River to visit the Transkei for the day. Suggest visiting Trennery's Hotel. Or take a cruise up the river of the Fish Eagle River Cruises.
