A pearl among the art cities... We recommend you buy a good guide or use one of the region's apps to get around. Spello is one of my favorite places though, so you might want to consider it :-)

A visit to Spello won’t disappoint, its narrow flower lined streets are a sight for sore eyes. My list of must see places in Spello: Porta Venere Santa Maria Maggiore in Spello inside you’ll find the little gem painted by Pinturicchio, the Baglioni Chapel Villa dei Mosaici di Spello, beautiful museum of Roman mosaics.

pello is a delightful tiny medieval town, ranged on terraces above the Spoleto Valley. There aren’t many major monuments to visit apart from Santa Maria Maggiore church, and its gorgeous frescoes from Pinturicchio. What makes Spello special is the town itself, with its narrow alleys, the white stone century old buildings and, of course, the laid back atmosphere and the small town charm. The best think to do here is to sit on a café terrace under the tress, order a glass of local wine and enjoy life.
