Less than 30 minutes drive away on the far side of Kurow, River T Estate has a cellar door for wine sales, as well as a thriving eatery for lunch with fantastic views over the vines to the hills beyond. A great place to go for a relaxing lunch.

A personal favourite of ours. It's a little further afield at 79km's but hey, it's still under an hour!!! This cute little winery is both friendly and unpretentious. Get yourself a food platter and a tasting paddle and lose the afternoon sat amongst the vines. Hay bales and Country music in the background, just perfect. Please check opening hours before you visit as may be closed for some of the winter months.

Fancy a wine tasting ?? or a great bite to eat in a friendly welcoming atmosphere ? A great spot to relax and take a walk through the vines, kids welcome to have a run around, and take in the beautiful Waitaki Valley
