Operated by Richard Bourdon, the sourdough bread bakery in Housatonic and AURA, the former owner chef of the beloved CAFE RIVA on Tyler Street, which closed at the height of popularity due to landlord/building difficulties some years back. She also ran food concession at Berkshire Organics "NatAURAly" for several years in the interim.

Hidden neighborhood gem, Stop by and try a sample of a wide variety of sourdough bread baked daily, sandwiches, pizzas, soups, and salads. In addition, they have gluten-free products and warm out of oven pastries.

A little known fact is that Richard Bourdon literally brought sourdough baking to America via The Berkshires. He started Berkshire Mountain Bakery back in the 70’s, where he famously trained Chad Robertson of Tartine fame. Order a couple of take and bake pizzas and cook them at home to order. You wouldn't normally spot this place, tucked in a shopping center in Pittsfield. But not only can you get the justifiably famous Berkshire Mountain Bakery bread here, it's the home of great artisanal pizza too. Closed Sunday and Monday. Check for hours.

Cafe and traditional sourdough bakery, as seen on Netflix's Cooked. Incredible breads, PIZZA, and sandwiches as well as coffee, pesto for purchase, and much more. Highly recommended.
