One of New Zealand’s largest and very highly regarded Mountain Bike Parks is located just down the road from the Beach House. Set within the privately owned, productive working, Pan Pac ‘Tangoio’ Forest is the Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club’s purpose built facility, known internationally as “Pan Pac Mountain Bike Park“. 90m of elevation at the highest peak allows tremendous views across the Bay and plenty of scope for a huge variety of trails, currently with approx 44km of purpose-built mountain bike trails, plus many km of quiet forestry roads and 4×4 tracks to cater for all levels of rider ability – from the novice beginner through to the experienced professional. To get there, drive out to State Highway 2 and head north (right) for about 2 minutes. The entrance is off to the left of SH2, just after the main entrance to Pan Pac.

Located just five minutes drive from Seafield View, this is one of New Zealand’s largest and very highly regarded Mountain Bike Parks. Set within the privately owned, productive working, Pan Pac ‘Tangoio’ Forest is the Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club’s purpose built facility, known internationally as “Pan Pac Mountain Bike Park”. 290m of elevation at the highest peak allows tremendous views across the Bay and plenty of scope for a huge variety of trails, currently with approx 44km of purpose-built mountain bike trails, plus many km of quiet forestry roads and 4×4 tracks to cater for all levels of rider ability – from the novice beginner through to the experienced professional. Permits are required for access and a casual (3-week) permit can be purchased from Bay View 4-Square for $10.
