The Santa Cruz Surfing Museum is a museum which was established in May 1986 to document the history of surfing. With collections dating back to the earliest years of surfing on mainland United States, the museum houses a historical account of surfing in Santa Cruz, California.
Come to the internationally renowned surfing hotspot Steamer Lane, watch surfers, enjoy a run across the lawn and tour the Surfing Museum. The museum has photographs, surfboards, and other interesting artifacts tracing over 100 years of surfing history in Santa Cruz.
At the base of West Cliff's gorgeous lighthouse, the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum gives guests the extensive history of surfing in Santa Cruz, as well as the earliest surfing accounts throughout the US.
