Rumeli Fortress, located in the district of Istanbul Sarıyer district of the Bosphorus. It was built by Fatih Sultan Mehmet directly opposite the Anatolian Fortress in order to prevent attacks that might come from the north of the Bosphorus before the conquest of Istanbul.

Rumelihisarı (also known as Rumelian Castle and Roumeli Hissar Castle[1]) is a fortress located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, Turkey, on a hill at the European side of the Bosphorus.
