Bike rental with Sightseeing is great on a bike. You can bike in Old Village of Mount Pleasant or over the Cooper River Bridge to Historic Charleston. There is also a water taxi at Patriot's Point you can take your bike on and cross the harbor to Historic Charleston.

I do recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as the bike's reserve quickly especially in the summer.
