Monserrate Mountain (Cerro de Monserrate) is located at south east of Bogotá. Monserrate, at 3.152 mts (10,341 feet) above the sea, dominates the Bogotá skyline and is known as the most important symbol of Bogotá. The mountain offers a great view of the city but is also home of a "Bacilica the Monserrate", one of the most important places of pilgrimage which is visited by thousands of Colombians and worldwide citizens.

High mountain over 10,000 feet high that dominates the city center of Bogotá. It rises to 3,152 meters above the sea level, you can find a church and typical food there.

We suggest you go hiking to Monserrate, the view from the top is amazing, preferably on weekdays and Saturday (Tuesday is closed), otherwise Sunday it will be very crowded

Must see place in Bogotá with a nice view of the whole city. Distance: 40 minutes / 1 hour depending on the traffic.
