A quirky, hippy town. Loads of restaurants and cafes etc. On Fridays, there is an antique and bric-a-brac market. The Saturday morning Farmers Market is amazing. It is only a short walk down the canal, or the best parking is the overground car park next to Waitrose or follows signs to the multi-storey and park on level 2A for level access to the town. All parking is free after 3 pm.

Visit Stroud for the farmers market every Saturday morning from 10-2pm. There's also some great stalls and places to eat in the Three Valleys Centre (a sort of shopping arcade but its full of food stalls but there's also lots to eat in the covered market section of the Farmer's Market at the top of the main street on the right). Jolly Nice is a great farmshop nearby - expensive but all food is fantastic

Stroud is a vibrant market town with a thriving artist community. In one of the most beautiful English landscapes of Cotswolds. The market on Saturday morning is one of the bests in the country. The Subscription Room in the centre of town has a wide range of live entertainment. There is also a multi screen cinema. The town is home to the very first organic cafe which opened in the 60’s.

The Stroud valleys are 5 beautiful steep valleys with small towns nestled in them. Made famous by Laurie Lees Cider with Rosie they are now quite well known for being a thriving centre for organic food and arts and craft
