At this cool pub in the back streets of Marrickville, I painted a gorilla on the garage door and, next to it a bunch of giraffes—Healthy Harold and his brothers. The pub is popular with families because they’ve converted a garage into a kids’ play room and built a ball pit right next to the beer garden. It has a good vibe. Order the delicious buttermilk chicken wings, then sit back and take in the murals.

The Henson now boasts a modern menu and fit out bringing even the smallest of locals inside its doors.Exotic dishes complement classic pub meals and the pub prides itself on mainly locally sourced produce, with the beer garden even having a veggie patch.

Quaint bar tucked away on a residential street with interesting decor that is family and pet friendly. The menu is also super interesting and they pride themselves by having a good variety of craft beers on tap that rotate quite frequently.
