This is a great spot to go for a stroll in the open air, let the kids and pups run around crazy, play frisbee or soccer or football, and take in the beauty of the Virgnia Tech campus.

The Drillfield is a very large open area in the center of VT campus that is used for large gatherings, such as Move-In day activities, remembrances for April 16th, fraternity and sorority gatherings, pickup soccor games, etc. It is surrounded by VT campus administration and class buildings with the War Memorial Gym across from Burrus Hall and the War Memorial Chapel at one end and the Duckpond anchoring the other end. Parking is available all around the Drillfield. However, it is advised that you get a parking pass during the weekdays.
