You can’t come to Dingle without visiting the Conor Pass. It’s one of the highest mountain passes in Ireland and a dramatic, ear popping, scenic way of crossing the peninsula, from Dingle in the south to Brandon and Castlegregory in the north. You take in fantastic views of the Wild Atlantic Way and the stunning glaciated landscape of mountains, lakes and valleys below. However, drive with care as there are some narrow sections where two cars cannot pass. Probably best if the driver doesn’t look at the scenery. (The pictures above do not do it justice.)

Travel from Dingle over the Conor Pass towards camp and Tralee. Wonderful views on a good day and a great area for walking.

The Conor pass is an amazing drive to take if you are heading to Dingle. With jaw dropping views of the Ballyheigue/Banna bay the road snakes along the northern mountain cliffs of the Dingle Peninsula.

21.9 km / 31.6 miles to the top. Drive towards Castlegregory, but instead of turning to Castlegregory, keep going on the Conor Pass / Dingle road. Its well signposted. A must do while visiting. Stunning views. If you are feeling up to it, there's a parking spot half way up (on the left), by a small waterfall. Its a short hike to the lake above which has spectacular views.
