This was a wonderful experience, and one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommend.

I hardly ever write reviews unless I either love or hate something. This experience exceeded our expectations. It was the most memorable part of our trip to Sicily. Thank you Salvo and Mario for making my husband’s birthday celebration so special!

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days stay at Salvatore’s small apartment. The space is nicely divided into a bedroom with a separate living room/convenience kitchen. The doors open onto a beautiful view of the Bay, with gorgeous sunsets. When the doors to the small balconies are open, it can indeed be a bit noisy. The apartment is several floors above the main roadway that circles Ortigia island, thus it’s busy well into the evening. But if you want to be in the Syracusa area, you have chosen to be in a beautiful, vibrant city! If you don’t want the noise, close the double-paned doors and turn on the AC or fan. The apartment is so perfectly located around the corner from the main piazza and Duomo, and a short walk to many excellent cafes and restaurants. Salvatore met us at the apartment to show us the ropes and was easily accessible via text. We would gladly stay again and highly recommend it!
