This review may be a little different because we were initially supposed to stay in a room at the Cracked Mug but another large family ended up booking the rest of the house so Melanie so kindly offered us to stay in a suite room at the Monhegan House (inn across the way) instead. So if for some reason you can’t stay at the Cracked Mug, I absolutely recommend the Monhegan House too!
The included breakfast is located at the Monhegan House and when they say to make sure to get the breakfast, absolutely DO IT. 10/10 meal that I would pay a lot of $ for in Portland… incredibly delicious.
As far as location, it’s centrally located within the village and easy to walk to everywhere.
As far as the island, it’s Monhegan, I love it, what can I say? I have been before and I will continue to return to this magical little island 10 miles off the coast of Maine 🧡 (and I’m a Mainer!)

We had. a beautiful long weekend at the Monhegan House! The pies and cakes on the front porch were delightful! Melanie was warm and wonderful.

Amazing location in the heart of Monhegan. Great people, great host. Will definitely stay here again. Anthony’s room was a perfect place to wake up.
