I highly recommend this cooking class and the opportunity to spend half day with Brahim and his family. We enjoyed every minute spent with them! The neighbourhood where Brahim lives is a bit further away from the centre so very authentic! We learnt a lot about Moroccan spices, cuisine and culture! The dishes we prepared (2 tagines, pastilla, salads) were delicious and the best we ever tasted in Morocco!
Me and my family had an amazing time and if we come back to Marrakech, we would do this class again!

Loved the experience, Brahim was very knowledgeable and helpful, his family is so lovely and amazing teaching as about the amazing Moroccan culture and traditions. Definitely a unique experience that you should try. The food is absolutely amazing, I left with a happy stomach and heart ❤️

Loved getting to know Brahim and his family and learning about day to day life and of course the cooking. Easy bus ride away from the medina.

He takes you to his family’s home and you chat a bit over breakfast (he teaches how to eat a typical Moroccan breakfast, bread is homemade!) and figure out what you want to make. We decided to do eggplant salad, chicken pastilla and lamb tagine. Then off to the market to pick out what we needed (I’d remember the list to help not forget).

He taught us the Moroccan way of doing things like peeling vegetables along with his mother. After the prep his mom is mostly watching the dishes / cooking times and brings you in when it’s time. In down time, he taught how to make mint tea which we drank after lunch.

We had way more food than we could eat. Since it was Friday, his mother also shared couscous she made for the family.

Afterwards he sent some of his family’s transcribed recipes.

Highly recommend if you want a uniquely local experience.

An unforgettable experience with Brahim and his family — market visit, traditional breakfast, lots of tea, and cooking some of the best Moroccan food we had on our trip. Do it at the end of your stay, as few meals afterwards will compare.
