Must love stairs! No cell signal but wifi worked well. Beautiful view, no street lights, limited traffic, so we could sleep peacefully with the windows open and drink coffee on the porch in peace and solitude. Great escape to decompress while still close enough to grab a meal and hit some trails if the desire hits.

Location can’t be beat! You can easily walk in and around this lazy mountain town with ease. The house is as described with antique cottagecore charm. It has all you need to cook with in the kitchen, bathe with in the shower, and get a good night’s sleep (or two) while enjoying the outdoors. Hot Springs is still recovering from Hurricane Helene, but the cottage seems to have been unaffected. Our family of six had plenty of room in the house and felt right at home.

Chestnut Cabin was a lovely, warm and inviting stay. We loved having coffee on the front porch in the morning and spending the evenings catching up around the fire pit. Melanie was a fantastic host and we so appreciate her extra touches. We’ll be back to visit our favorite mountain town again and would love happily stay at Chestnut Cabin again.
