First, Thiago is a delight. His enthusiasm and knowledge of Porto was unmatched. We took a private tour, and the pace and stories for each path taken made our morning. His tour is not scripted, but a personal sharing of the life and history of Porto. His tour his highly recommended without hesitation. Expect to be delighted!

We spent a wonderful afternoon in Porto with Thiago! He was a delightful and knowledgeable guide who provided a great introduction to his city. The afternoon concluded with a special treat in his own neighborhood at a delightful shop in which we had a glass of wine and Portuguese charcuterie. Well worthwhile for a short stay in Porto or an introduction for a longer stay!

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The bathroom, particularly the shower and around, was not clean, and the bedding did not seem fresh and had an unpleasant odor (pictures of concerns available). There was also no laundry detergent provided, which added to the inconvenience.

When I raised these concerns with the host, the response was unhelpful and came across as dismissive and somewhat rude. While the host did offer a refund, we were traveling with a toddler and finding a new place at the last minute simply wasn’t realistic. Overall, this stay didn’t meet expectations based on the listing, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
